Wanting to buy your first home? Well house prices have fallen for the first time since 2012 and have fallen by 0.2%.

The average house price in the country is currently £219,649 and with a 0.2 per cent decline, buyers are saving themselves £440.

Now this might not seem a lot, but every little helps doesnt it?!

There are lots of schemes that the Government have introduced now to help new buyers get onto the housing ladder. Some of which are:
- Help to Buy Loan: A scheme aimed at people who have a 5% deposit and would like to buy a house less that £600,000. The Government will give you 20 per cent of the property value!
- Starter Homes: If you are a first time buyer under the age of 40 then the Government will offer you a 20 per cent discount on the market value of the property!
