Award winners were decided following a rigorous and thorough judging process by a panel of 20 industry experts who assessed initial entry submissions before conducting an extensive review of the entrants, including over 150 hours of telephone interviews and independent mystery shopping exercises. The judging process was overseen by The Property Ombudsman Katrine Sporle, and Mark Hayward of the NAEA acted as Arbiter.

The panel commented that Cavendish should be given top marks for its service offerings; the directors have put in place multiple avenues to generate revenue but the provision of a great landlord experience is always at the forefront of any new initiative. The judge commented that Cavendish Residential is one of the most forward-thinking agencies they have come across.

The winners were competing for property management and overall awards by size of business and/or region and also in a number of specialist categories from marketing to relocation. Individual managers and negotiators were also recognised for their hard work and commitment to customer service in four different categories, along with the award for Outstanding Contribution to Lettings, and the Supplier of the Year awards.

Now in their seventh year as a dedicated competition for the lettings industry, these awards have become widely recognised as the most prestigious and difficult to win. With more entrants than ever before, thousands of British lettings and property management offices were represented this year, but only the very best of the best were crowned as winners.

Over 450 leading lettings agents with property to rent throughout the UK attended a glittering ceremony at The Lancaster London Hotel opposite Hyde Park where the winners of only dedicated awards for the lettings agency industry were revealed. The winners received their awards from ex-Birmingham FC owner Karen Brady.

The awards ceremony was the culminating event of a rigorous and thorough judging process carried out over a four-month period by a panel of industry experts who assessed initial entry submissions before conducting an extensive review of the property to rent entrants, which included hundreds of telephone interviews and mystery shopping exercises. The whole of the judging process was overseen by The Property Ombudsman.

Now in its fourth year as a dedicated competition, these awards have become widely recognised as the most sought-after and difficult to win. With more property to rent entrants than ever before, over 5,000 offices were represented this year, but only the very best of the best were crowned as winners.

We are absolutely delighted! I would like to personally extend my thanks to all our staff and clients for their incredible support over the last five years. These awards mean so much to us, we are an independent property to rent agency going up against real tough competition so to be presented with this accolade really is amazing" commented Ali Baylav, Managing Director of Cavendish Residential (pictured collecting the awards).

When asked about the success of Cavendish Residential, Ali continued, "I feel that our success has been down to setting up our In-house Maintenance Department with our own engineers, tools, grouting etc - our ARLA accreditation and our cool and bright approach to branding with our fleet of multi coloured Smart cars and vans. Our latest campaign is, "I got 99 problems but my flat ain't 1″ I am sure this amused the judges whilst showing that we are confident and bold in our marketing. We will be working hard to be an award winner again next year, I guarantee we'll strive for the UK award too really putting Nottingham on the map!"

Peter Knight, Chairman of the event organisers Estate Agency Events commented; "Landlords and tenants can be confident that the agents displaying this awards medal represent the very best of the best. Whilst there has been much talk of the need to establish minimum standards for lettings agents, I am delighted that these awards can shine a light on those firms that are exceeding standards at every level within an increasingly competitive industry."
